These one of a kind cast metal sculptures are created by carving and sculpting negative space into a 2-piece sand mold and pouring liquid metal into the mold. The mold is broken open to reveal the unique natural formations and features of the molten metal process. After polishing, each sculpture receives a patina to highlight its’ distinctive form and texture.
Orbital Debris is a collection of disintegrated and transformed fragments from the earth’s atmosphere and specimens of the deep sea – spherical remnants of heat, time and space that offer observations of chance and potential of origin and life.
