NEW MOON MANIFEST WITH MOLTEN METAL

The New Moon is a time to cleanse, renew, and rewire to bring in the new – life patterns, visions and luck! This metal casting transformational ritual conveys an act in which we join the metaphysical with the physical and call spirit into our material lives with the creation of a personal cast metal sculpture, amulet, pendant, pin, necklace, bolo tie, what-have-you. Cast your New Moon vision into metal and memorialize your transformation.
In this all hands-on, creative and exciting class you will carve an original design (or choose from a selection of symbols and imagery) into a cuttlefish bone to create negative space. That space is filled with lead-free pewter to create your original metal casting. You pour the metal into your mold, do finishing work with hand files and colored inks are optional. Mount your sculpture on metal/wood/stone base, affix jewelry hardware, or put it in your pocket. No experience necessary. Ages 10+.
The WOW bus will be located in the Casket Arts Parking Lot. Near NE Sculpture Gallery Factory, 1720 NE Madison Street, Minneapolis, 55413 – Behind/North of the Casket Arts Building.
Since the Cancer New Moon (on Monday the 17th) is stationed in its home sign of Cancer, this lunar moment will prompt us to get acquainted with our emotions, pull inwards, and honor our own capabilities. It is time to channel some self-love energy and turn it into feelings of bravery, confidence, and inner-strength.
