International Sculpture Conference – Feed the Machine Project

The Twin Cities is excited to welcome the 32nd International Sculpture Conference, The Evolving Field of Sculpture: Shaping the Future of Public Culture, from October 22-25, 2026.
Sunday, October 26, 1:30-6pm
The NE Sculpture Gallery Factory and Casket Arts are hosting a networking event in the Northeast Arts District: a sculpture exhibition, Proof of Life, in the gallery, artist studios and outside in the Sculpture Quad includes music, a bonfire, Art Cars, the WOW Mobile Metal Lab, and the Community Canopy Project (50+ Minnesota artists pubic art) by Andrew MacGuffie and collaborative artists, Hindsight sculpture by Ruthann Godollei and Peter Morales carving new stone work, Sculpting the Sublime.
Feed the Machine:
You are invited to the Bio Scenic Earth Lab, Sara Hanson’s studio in Casket Arts Factory to contribute your time capsule contents – information about life on Earth from you at this time. Creating a time capsule right now is an invaluable act of preserving “memory” for humanity. With the world emerging from global pandemic turmoil, navigating new technological frontiers, and experiencing national trauma and global crisis -a time capsule provides a foundation and a bridge between the present and future.
Through deliberate individual and communal expression – sharing, documenting and preserving history during a period of rapid societal, technological and environmental change – we will impact future generations.
This project was funded by Forecast Public Art with additional support from the Jerome Foundation.
Make + Take Souvenir Artifact:
WOW Mobile Meal Lab invites you to aboard the bus – choose your mold, pour your metal, do minimal finishing work and attach a small sculpture base or wearable hardware. Many-a-molds created from natural elements, 3d prints and found objects to choose from – Minnesotas nature, wildlife, culture and identity – with a lil righteous WOW whimsy.
Water, sodas, beer and wine will be available for donations. ISC will be providing appetizers and/or something like sandwich trays.
