Choose a mold from the Cabinet of Curious Castings (bee\, ice cream cone\, sea monkey\, teeth and more) pour metal into it\, polish it\, paint it and fashion it – a small sculpture\, pendant\, pin\, keychain\, cuff-links\, pocket toy and what-have-you?!\nWatch live painting demos by Chroma Zone muralists Wes Winship\, Martzia Thometz and more — sponsored by Montana Paint and Wet Paint.\nBring your bike to join a guided bike tour with Move Minnesota at 3:30 p.m. — Register in advance to save your spot online HERE or join the tour day-of. Tour departs from the Red Lot on Prior Ave. Riders must be 18+\, sign a waiver\, and wear a helmet.\nHop on the Can Can Mini Putt Putt Bus for special mural tours with artists and experts. DESCRIPTION:New Moon in Scorpio –Take on emotional and financial investments + time for self-mastery and self-empowerment by tackling things that undermine us and that take away our power! \nThe New Moon is a time to cleanse\, renew\, and rewire to bring in the new – life patterns\, visions and luck! This metal casting transformational ritual conveys an act in which we join the metaphysical with the physical and call spirit into our material lives with the creation of a personal cast metal sculpture\, amulet\, pendant\, pin\, necklace\, bolo tie\, what-have-you. Cast your New Moon vision into metal and memorialize your transformation. \nIn this all hands-on\, creative and exciting class you will carve an original design (or choose from a selection of symbols and imagery) into a cuttlefish bone to create negative space. That space is filled with lead-free pewter to create your original metal casting. You pour the metal into your mold\, do finishing work with hand files and colored inks are optional. Hand-stamp a word of intention and mount your sculpture on metal/wood/stone base\, affix jewelry hardware or put it in your pocket. No experience necessary. \nCreate\, snack + sip (refreshments\, wine/beer and non-alcoholic beverages)\, converse and learn how to cast metal!
