SUMMARY:Metal Casting at Movies in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Cast Baseball Memorabilia in Metal \nCelebrate the sport of baseball\, our local legend Twins player\, Tony Oliva and the famous fantasy sports film\, Field of Dreams.  Get on the bus and choose from a selection of molds – cap\, bat\, ball\, home plate and more – and pour metal to create your own small sculpture\, pendant\, keychain/zipper-pull.  Ages 5+/all skill levels.  This event is hosted by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation and free and open to the public.

SUMMARY:Metal Casting with Sand Molds for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:The ancient art of sand casting can be used to create objects or art with bronze or aluminum.  Design and create your door/drawer handle\, light switch/door-bell plate\, wall hook or other ideas with plasticine clay\, found objects\, or a wood/foam pattern.  Choose bronze or aluminum to pour your mold\, and learn how to clean and treat your casting.  $5.00 per pound of finished metal will be assessed at class. \nTuesdays 6-8pm/July 12\, 14\, 19\, 21\, 26\, 28
