Get on the bus for your hands-on experience for ages 5+/all skill levels.  This event is hosted by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation and is free and open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:New Moon in Cancer – Family\, Home and Nurturing…..and Get Out and Play! \nThe New Moon is a time to cleanse\, renew\, and rewire to bring in the new – life patterns\, visions and luck! This metal casting transformational ritual conveys an act in which we join the metaphysical with the physical and call spirit into our material lives with the creation of a small personal cast metal sculpture\, pendant\, pin\, necklace\, bolo tie\, magnet or what-have-you. Cast your New Moon vision into metal and memorialize your transformation. \nIn this all hands-on\, creative and exciting class you will carve an original design (or choose from a selection of symbols and imagery) into a cuttlefish bone to create negative space. That space is filled with lead-free pewter to create your original metal casting. You pour the metal into your mold\, do finishing work with hand files and power tools. Hand stamp a word of intention\, apply colored inks\, mount your sculpture on metal/wood/stone base\, affix jewelry hardware or put it in your pocket. No experience necessary. \nLearn how to pour metal with new or ol’ pals\, sip + snack and have fun!
