DESCRIPTION:CASKET ARTS PRESENTS OPEN CASKET\nTHE PREMIER OPEN STUDIO EVENT OF THE YEAR\nNovember 4 – 6\, 2022     Friday 5-10pm • Saturday 10am – 6pm • Sunday 12-5pm\nSee below for performance and workshop schedules. \nCASKET ARTS FACTORY + SCULPTURE QUAD \nFriday 6-10pm\nMetal Pour Workshop – Light Up the Night!\nSand Mold Direct Carve Cast Aluminum Caskets\nLearn how to carve imagery\, designs\, words into a sand mold of a casket form.  Choose from imagery and ideas here or create your own (molds are 4″x11″ approx). Then\, learn how to pour aluminum from a crucible furnace into the mold\, file/grind/polish your casting and colored inks are optional.  Ages 9 + up. 8 participant limit. $40.00 per mold. \nNE Sculpture Gallery Factory\nOpening reception for Jane Powers\, Future Seeps into Now.\nBonfire\, food truck\, music by local punk band Surly Grrls and a fire performance by Singed Nipples. \nSaturday 10am-6pm\nCabinet of Curious Castings – Casting Away the Day……\nGet on the bus and choose a mold or two – butterfly\, teeth\, chrysalis\, sea monkey – to create your small sculpture\, necklace\, pin\, pendant\, bolo tie\, etc.  Lead-free pewter into small silicone molds.
